Future of European cooperation in the field of spatial development

Currently the European Cooperation in the field of spatial development is defined by the German EU Council Presidency in 2020 and the discussion about the futur topics of the Interreg programmes. Together with Infrastruktur & Umwelt and the Radboud University Nimwegen the German Association of Housing is accompanying these processes. The contracting authoroties are BMVI and BBSR.

Interreg and the Federal Programme "Transnational Cooperation"

To ensure that the results of the transnational cooperations can be used by professionals in the field of spatial planning on the municipal and regional level as well as state and federal level, an effective public relations work is crutial. On behalf of BMVI and BBSR the German Association of Housing is constantly developing the communications work for the programmes Interreg and "Transnational Cooperations".

Competition between Cities and their surrounding areas in Brandenburg

The European Structural Funds 2014-2020 strongly encourage inter-municipal cooperations between a city, its regions, and the federal state. Therefore The German Association for Housing supports the state of Brandenburg in the conduct of a competition between its cities and their surrounding areas.
