Implementation of the Territorial Agenda 2030 - Local pilot measures and transfer of results at national and European level

The revised Territorial Agenda of the EU 2030, adopted on 1 December 2020, sets key objectives for spatial planning in Europe. These targets are to be implemented by different Member States through six pilot actions. Germany is taking the lead for the pilot action on structurally weak regions. Within the framework of a MORO project, the DV supports the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning (BBSR) together with Infrastrukutur & Umwelt in implementing and evaluating the pilot action.

Active Property Policy

How can building land supply be increased and how can available building land be used for affordable housing? The working group "Active Property Policy" tries to find answers to these questions. The group was founded by the the Alliance for Affordable Housing and Building (Bündnis für bezahlbares Wohnen und Bauen) and is headed by DV.

Dialogue for the advancement of the Leipzig Charter

It is about time to further develop the Leipzig Charter for the Sustainable European City from 2007, with regard to changed conditions and the upcoming German EU Council Presidency in 2020. For this purpose, the project "Chances and Strategies of the German EU Council Presidency 2020" has been launched. DV implements the project together with EUKN und the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg. The contracting authority is the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community together with the Federal Insitute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development.

Peripheral Access

Many rural areas are facing similar challenges, like poor public transport connections and demographic change. Therefore Peripheral Access will analyse this situation in detail and derive concrete action plans and implement innovative pilot actions. The German Association of Housing is the leadpartner of the project which is co-financed by the Interreg-Programm Central Europe.

TransRegio Alliance

The aim of the project TransRegio Alliance is to improve connectivity between rural areas in eastern Germany and at the same time to better connect them to the Trans-European Networks "Transport" (TEN-T). For this purpose, Interreg players of the five new Länder work together. DV launched the cooperation toegether with the Joint State Planning Authority of Berlin-Brandenburg.

Three-Percent-Project

How can municipalities reach a yearly rate of three percent energyrelated renovation and modernisation of their housing stock? This project deals with this issue. Research partners are the German Association of housing, B.&S.U. and the HFT Stuttgart. The implementation takes place in model neighbourhoods in Ludwigsburg, Aachen, and Mühltal.
