Trade Dialogue Baukultur – Guided Excursions

Representative architecture has been shaping our city centers for centuries. Today many customers desire for an attractive building's design and a good attmosphere in their cities. Retail architecture and building culture gains more value in the urban development every day. Trade is the leading function of a city center. Therefore it is one of the main beneficiary of an attractive architectural environment.

The joint excursions of the German Association of Housing, the German Retail Federation (HDE) and the Federal Foundation for Building Culture is dedicated to the exploration of the combination of bulding culture and architecture. The delegation trips aim to bring decision-makers from

  • the retail/trade industrie
  • politics and municipal administration
  • urban planning and management
  • and property sector

together. During the trip the participants have the chance to exchange their experience in the field of building culture in retail buildings and gain a new perspective of the building culture in various european cities.

2018: Delegation Trip to Rotterdam, Netherlands

In 2018 the journey goes to Rotterdam. Rotterdam is a modern city. With its experimental approaches in the retail architecture and city development strategies it offers many opportunities for exploration.
